Prakesh Javadekar. This is the second time in a row that G.L. Bajaj Institute has made its presence among the Top Two Hundred Engineering Institutes of the country. This year again, G.L. Bajaj has also been awarded as the Best Engineering College in North India Award by Honorable Minister of State for HRD, Govt. of India, Dr. Satya Pal Singh. The institute has been constantly listed amongst the top institutes of India for differentiating itself from others in the terms of academics and placements. India’s Top T- School survey conducted by a very reputed corporate magazine Data Quest ranked G.L. Bajaj amongst leading colleges for engineering education–at par with several NITs. Not only engineering, but recently G.L. Bajaj has also been conferred with The Best Management College in North India for Teaching Excellence, 2018 Award. The award was conferred by Prof. A. P. Mittal (Member Secretary, AICTE), Ms. Shazia Ilmi, (Vice President- BJP, Delhi state), Dr. Arun Kumar (Hon’ble Member of Parliament), Dr. Manpreet Singh Manna (Director, AICTE) & Dr. Sonail Sinha (COO, THSC, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship) at 4th Higher Education Summit organized by CEGR in April, 2018. These awards and accolades are the testament of the G.L. Bajaj’s excellence on the parameters like teaching, research, training, graduation outcome, industry outreach and placement.
GLBians are making their mark…
Bubbling with innovative ideas and strong academic strength, GLBians are making their presence felt in every field. G.L. Bajaj is the only engineering college is UP that has won the first prize and cash amount Rs. 1 lakh in Smart India Hackthon 2018 organized by MHRD & AICET, Govt. of India. Team ‘The Concept Crew’ of GL Bajaj won the first prize under Ministry of Women and child Development and the prize was conferred by Dr. Shashikala Pushpa (Member of Rajya Sabha) and Shri Chetan B Sanghi (Joint Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development). This mega event attracted around 10368 Participants, 1296 Teams including IITs, RECS and NITS, 36 Hours of non-stop coding at 28 centers across the country. Another student, Kajal Srivastava made it to a national level program iCreate held at Gujarat. Her project was among the only five projects selected from all over the country for the demonstration to the honorable Prime Minister of India. She has also received a grant of Rs. 10 lacs from Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India to further work on her project. Shubham,Vishal and Ajay has also received Rs. 10 Lacs fund for their start- up from NXG venture whereas Himanshu, Shaurya and Deep Singh has received fund of 10 lacs from Atal Innovation Cell for their startup.
Innovation, Incubation and Industrial Partnerships @ GL Bajaj
G.L. Bajaj has also joined hands with industry through industry-academia partnerships and Incubation & Excellence Centers. Applied Robotics Control Lab, CISCO Centre, Design Centre of Tata Technologies, Big-data Analytics Centre (Tech Mahindra), iOS Development Centre, Artificial Intelligence Centre, Industrial Automation, CIM & Robotics, Centre for ML & AI, Aricent Employability Enhancement Program, Barclays Youth Employability Initiative, Academia-Industrial Relations with Minda Silca , SAP University Alliance Program are some of initiatives with which GL Bajaj is scripting a different success story among the technical and management institutes in Delhi NCR.
